What we do
A brief overview of our services, with links to more detailed information.
• We provide information to people affected by MS, and those working with them. We do this through our website, our publications, our enquiry service and through information events. • We run various courses for people with MS, and for carers. • We provide local support through our network of branches and work to develop activities regionally. • We provide financial support to people affected by MS. • We provide respite care at our short break centre, Leuchie house. We also provide self-catering caravan holidays. We work with other providers of respite to help them improve their service to people affected by MS. • We work with health boards to provide specialist care for people affected by MS. • We campaign to persuade the Scottish Government to provide services which will meet the needs of people affected by MS, and to raise public awareness of MS. • We work in partnership with health and social care professionals. • We fund research into MS. • We fundraise - the Society depends entirely on charitable fundraising and the support of the public and our volunteers to be able to do our work.
