What we doA brief overview of our services, with links to more detailed information.• We provide information to people affected by MS, and those working with them. We do this through our website, our publications, our information service and through information events. • We run various courses for people with MS. • We provide local support through our network of branches and work to develop activities regionally. • We provide grants to people affected by MS. • We provide currently provide respite care at our short break centre (Update on Leuchie House provision following the respite care review). We also provide self-catering holidays. We work with other providers of respite to help them improve their service to people affected by MS. • We work with health boards to provide specialists for people affected by MS. • We campaign to persuade the Scottish Government to provide services which will meet the needs of people affected by MS, and to raise public awareness of MS. • We work in partnership with health and social care professionals. • We fund research into MS. • We fundraise - the Society depends entirely on charitable fundraising and the support of the public and our volunteers to be able to do our work.  |
