Membership
With nearly 50,000 members (4,500 of which are Scottish) the Society is the main source of reliable information about MS and the leading UK funder of MS research. It also provides a strong voice on issues related to MS. Membership is available to anyone with an interest in the work of the Society.
Our members are a wide range of people including people with MS, Carers, Family, Friends and Health Professionals.
 Membership costs £5 per year and the benefits of being a member living in Scotland are:
- receiving MS Connect, MS Society Scotland's bi-monthly magazine - exclusive to Scottish members! Read more about MS Connect
- receiving MS Matters, the bi-monthly magazine keeping you up to date with every aspect of MS
- access to the Members' Zone on the UK website
- the ability to shape the work of the Society - have the opportunity to take part in the democratic and policy making work of the Society
- have the opportunity to meet, talk and gain support from others with MS or caring for someone with MS.
How to join
Becoming an MS Society member is a simple two step process.
Step 1: You tell us about yourself
Step 2: You give us your payment details
You can do this online (please note this link will take you to the UK site).
You'll receive a confirmation email straight away, then once your subscription has been processed, we'll send you a membership pack and you'll receive regular copies of the membership magazines. It usually takes 7 days to process a membership pack.
Alternatively, you can contact us and ask for a membership form.
Please note that although those joining in Scotland are members of the MS Society Scotland, all membership data is held centrally by the MS Society. London. It would therefore be appreciated if you have any queries to direct them to the Membership Services Department, details to the right of this page.
