Better Health, Better Care: a Discussion Document

The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing, Nicola Sturgeon MSP launched Better Health, Better Care: a Discussion Document on Thursday 16 August 2007.

The document sought views on the actions that are required to improve patient’s experience of care, further enhance the support provided for people with long term conditions and tackle health inequalities across Scotland. The responses will inform the development of a new Action Plan for Health and Wellbeing due to be published before the end of the year.

This consultation allows us to ensure that the health needs of people with and affected by MS are fully considered by the new SNP administration as it develops its health plans. The Society submitted a response to highlight key national issues.

The discussion document can be accessed at http://www.scotland.gov.uk/betterhealthbettercare, and you can download our response below.
