Review of Hospital Car Parking Charges

Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing Nicola Sturgeon has instructed a review of the guidance governing hospital car parking charges.

The review will examine the impact of charges on staff, particularly lower paid members of staff. It will also consider the appropriateness of blanket, Board-wide policies, given the different circumstances that exist from hospital to hospital.

A review group will examine these issues, reporting back to Ms Sturgeon by the end of November. The Review Group will be made up of representatives from the Scottish Partnership Forum, the Scottish Health Council, a voluntary organisation, a NHS Board Chair and HR Director.
