Work and Study

This page is an introduction to some of the organisations that can give you advice or support if you are working or studying or wanting to get a job or study for a qualification or further skills. You will find more information on the MS Society website for the UK as a whole. We have included the main links on this page.

 Telling your employer

It can be difficult deciding whether or not to tell your employer you have MS. Once you have been diagnosed with MS, you are covered by the Disability Discrimination Act. This means that if you tell your employer that you have MS, they must make reasonable adjustments to enable you to carry on working.

You will find information to help you think about this on the UK site. The Working with MS booklet has really useful information for employees and employers.
