Our ServicesThe MS Society Scotland is part of the UK's largest charity for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS). About 10,400 people in Scotland have MS. The UK site of the MS Society is packed with useful information. Check out our hot links. Our free helpline 0808 800 8000 is open between 9am and 9pm, Monday to Friday. Specialist staff and trained volunteers are available to support you, whatever the worry, maintaining complete confidentiality. Specifically aimed at people affected by MS who are living in Scotland, in this section of our site you will find information about MS and work, family, finances and other issues which you may need support with. You can also find out more about our courses for people with MS and our respite centre Leuchie House. There are thirty six branches of the Society across Scotland providing vital local contact, information and support for people affected by MS. We also run a number of local projects in Fife, the Lothians & Borders, the West of Scotland and Aberdeen. For more information on these projects, please call us on 0131 335 4050. Our resource centre located in our national office near Edinburgh is well stocked with all the Society’s publications. Please give us a call for a full list. You can also ask for a newly diagnosed pack. We also produce Scottish-specific publications, which are available to download. All members receive six copies a year of our magazine ‘MS Connect’ which is packed with news, personal stories and information. We hold an annual information day ‘the ms space’ and hold other local events. Details are posted on this website of forthcoming events. Visit the message boards of the UK site of the MS Society and share your experiences with others affected by MS from across the UK (and the world!) |
